These three things can create recognition for your work and can help generate income as well. The formats for searching may change over time due to ever changing technology. I would search popular social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. A few useful search words may be: call for entries, artist grants, art show entries. You can look both local and nationally. You can all so look up CaFE – callforentry.org I am on their mailing list so they send information out to my email. These shows can be local shows and national shows.
I tend to write down each and every show, grant or residencies that I apply for. I then will mark if I was excepted or not. I was told by a Tampa artist by the name of, Samson Huang, that an artist will apply to ten different shows before getting one acceptance. I am hoping this is not the case but each of us will see.
